I am really interested in creating items from knittable materials.  I have used many types of materials from cut up plastic bags to 28ply wool and huge huge needles.  I have selected these blog sites for their extreme approach to knitting

    Have you tried knitting with golf balls? "A three-piece ball consists of a plastic cover, windings of rubber thread, and a core that contains a gel or liquid (sugar and water) or is solid." Perhaps you could work with that?

    Have ever tried knitting the tape that's inside video and tape cassettes? I've seen a few people doing this to make bags and stuff.
